An introductory course in heat transfer processes and an introduction to mass transfer. Topics include equations of energy conservation, conduction, convection, radiation, heat exchanger design; equations for chemical species conservation, diffusion, macroscopic balances. Emphasis on problem solving, especially for purposes of design. Fall term annually. 3 credit hours.
