This course deals with the fundamental notions of Engineering Surveying which has been important since the beginning of civilization. Surveying generally defines as the science, art, and technology of determining the relative positions of points above, on, or beneath the earth's surface, or of establishing such points.
Our course objectives are as follows,
1. Students will obtain a full understanding of the nature of surveying data, including errors and the need for error control.
2. Students will learn about surveying project fundamentals, particularly referencing systems, horizontal and vertical control, and topographic mapping.
3. Students will gain an understanding of the nature of calculations made with surveying data, methods of data recording, and so on.
